While watching Married, I thought the woman who played the receptionist at Dr. Fields' office looked very familiar. After a search online, I discovered that it was Rosalind Chao, an actress whom I had seen in dozens of TV and film projects. She appeared in such films as John Carpenter's Memoirs of an Invisible Man and What Dreams May Come, but Chao is better known for her vast TV work, which includes appearences in such shows as Kojak, The Amazing Spider-Man, Falcon Crest, Max Headroom, Miami Vice, The West Wing, Without A Trace, and Six Feet Under.

But Star Trek fans may know Chao best as Keiko O'Brien, who first appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation , where her character met and married Transporter Chief Miles O'Brien (Colm Meany) over the course of eight episodes. When Chief O'Brien transferred over to the space station Deep Space Nine, Keiko went with him, appearing in 19 episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She put up with everything from alien invasions to Major Kira having her baby (it's a long story).
