Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, has
a brief cameo in The Fellowship Of The Ring. When Frodo leads his fellow Hobbits
to the town of Bree, where they are to meet Gandalf at The Inn Of The Prancing Pony,
they encounter all sorts of strange people in the streets. One of them is Jackson,
eating a carrot. It's a very brief scene that flashes by within seconds.
In the same manner how Alfred Hitchcock always had a minor cameo
in his films, Jackson playfully inserted himself in the fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien.
