Gallagher and Beck have to deal with a lot of strange things in The Hidden. But none so stranger than a stripper who, instead of a heart of gold, had a really mean streak and who seriously knew how to handle assault weapons. While this character sounds like something you'd find in a really lame soft-core porno flick that you'd see on late night cable, it actually does make sense within the context of the story--but since I don't want to give anymore away than I have to, you're just going to have to trust me on this.

The stripper from hell was played by a young actress named Claudia Christian. Claudia is perhaps better known these days for her role as Lt. Commander Susan Ivanova on the science fiction TV series Babylon 5. Ivanova was the ideal strong female character in SF/fantasy TV who had brains and a sturdy backbone. She never backed down from a fight, and gave no quarter to her enemies. Christian did a superb job playing the second in command of the Babylon 5 space station. So much so that when she left the series after its fourth season, she was sorely missed.
