The Babylon 5 (and Mickey Mouse) Connection to Tron

At last, the new Pat Boone album is out! Bruce Boxleitner (left), who stars as the title character in Tron, also stars in another production that is well-known to SF fans: Babylon 5. Boxleitner came aboard B5 as her new commanding officer, Captain John Sheridan, at the beginning of the second season. He took over the command of the spacestation, as well as the lead of the series, from actor Michael O'Hare, who played Commander Jeffrey Sinclair in the first season.

Vir! How many times have I told you not to interupt me when I'm playing Nintendo! Peter Jurasik (right), better known these days as Ambassador Londo Mollari of the Centuari Republic on Babylon 5, also appeared briefly in Tron as a hapless computer program who goes up against Jeff Bridges' Flynn. Looks like this dude can't do a role without having some kind of strange object on his head.

And if you folks will look out to your left, you'll see the Mickey Mesa. And last, but not least, Mickey Mouse himself makes a cameo in Tron. As the Solar Glider sails over the electronic landscape, we see Mickey's face outlined on the ground below. No, Mickey was never on Bablyon 5, but he's still worth mentioning here, especially since it was his movie company that produced Tron in the first place.
